Preparations to go to Bangladesh are many and take their time. I don’t mean this to disappoint your future plan but I do want to warn you that you should plan this trip with a certain amount of time (2 months at least).
How to get there:
There are many ways to get there. The most usual is flying from Argentina via Europe. In my case I’ll be flying to Madrid with Air Europe and there I’ll take a plane to Qatar (I have a connection as I’m traveling by Qatar Airways) and my final destiny Dhaka International Airport, Bangladesh. It is a whole day traveling, depending on connections. There are other options to get there: through London, with British Airways, but the first seemed the cheapest.
Visa:
You will need a visa to go to Bangladesh but you cannot obtain it in Argentina. You can start paper works at Dhaka airport when you arrive although I do not recommend this (if you do, keep your passport with you all the time). If you go to India first, you can initiate the Visa at Bangladesh consulate. In my case, the Bangladeshi consulate in Rome took care of this for me (as I have an Italian passport).
Inoculations required:
I was particularly recommended to go to the Stanboulian Travelers´ Center. You must be inoculated against: hepatitis A and B, tetanus, triple viral (measles, German measles, mumps), Typhoid fever, anti-rabies and yellow fever (Bangladesh is not an endemic country but if you go from Argentina you need an international certificate of inoculation that you get from Frontier Sanity for free).
